I don't give a hoot.
Apparently I've been in quite a snit lately. I don't know why, but I'm hoping to come out of it soon. My computer issues mount. Blech. I now have to ship my almost new laptop back to HP for fixing. Something to do with the motherboard they think. Anyway, thanks everyone for the nice comments about the new bags, awesome shoes and general niceness. Here's a little bag that almost cheered me up today.
Maybe with the lack of sunshine and the clocks being turned back has given me a touch of seasonal affective disorder? Maybe I need to get one of those happy lights, and sit under it like a plant. Oh boy, am I cranky or what? Ok, enough of that.
I've been currently obsessed with redecorating my whole house. Normally, I don't get very excited about decorating, since I really stink at it, but it seems like I am bent on it now. I usually go gangbusters and full tilt for awhile, lose interest, then leave things half-done. This time around promises to be no different. How do I know? I just do. Decorating thoughts and magazines are scattered about. I wake in the middle of the night with ideas, paint chips are falling out of my purse...a manic episode threatens. Then the crash and burn. But no matter. Onward. This fabric is one of my current obsessions:
It's by Tina Givens from the Zazu line, I bought some from this ebay seller. It's called chandelier, and it's got that certain Joie de Vivre. I'm thinking, living room curtains. But of course it'll clash terribly with basically everything in there, so it'll all go, and new stuff must be bought. Oh, was i dreaming again?
Oh, actually this kind of cheered me up, Sandi is back from her Quilt Market adventures, you can read all about it on her blog. And remember those bags i made for her that she took and I forgot to take the pics, well she has pics of them there. Welcome back Sandi!

I think the mood is a seasonal one. I know Fall is my favorite season and yet I always get a little reclusive and morose every fall. I'm not sure why. I LOVE the chandelier fabric! Gorgeous. I think it would make great curtains. Glad to have you back! Hope your next computer comes back without any flaws.

The owl bag is adorable, but I seriously LOVE the vintage shoe bag! I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my messenger bag.

i'm feelin' kinda funky, too...and definitely not in a "shake yer groove thang" kinda way. :) but then again, i haven't seen the actual sun in almost 3 days. and i've had a cold for 3 weeks. and i just got a couple of sewing books and i had to read the glossaries cuz i'm THAT bad. try to hang in there, babe. at least be comforted in the fact that many, many women are suffering from the cranks right along with you. ((HUGS)) :)

Yep, it is definitely the lack of light... especially for those who just turned the clocks back. My mom works for a psyciatrist and they had a huge influx of probs this week....

I think bad moods are seasonal.. but I cheer myself up with
1. buying chocolate
2. telling myself it maybe autumn here, but somewhere else in the world its spring and they would be happy!
3. I woke up this morning so thats something to be thankful for.
I love your bag, that would definately cheer me up.. I just adore the birdie fabric and the birdie dingle dangler you have hanging off the strap, very cute.. (can't remember what you call those things, but a dingle dangler works for me!)

I really like the new Tina Givens line too. I turned mine into pillows and it really livened up my living room. You definately have an eye for what colors go together.

Lisa,
I grew up in Rhode Island where the greyness takes a toll on you. I moved to Florida to get away from it. Believe me, RI is a beautiful state, the grass isn't always greener. Just try to enjoy the seasonal changes. Your bags are some of my favorites!!
